I am a descendant of the historical Karatzogiannis family whose members took part in every battle in the Greek War of Independence and who suffered many losses in the Exodus of Mesolonghi in 1826.
I was born in July 1942 at the heart of World War II and lived through the years of sorrow and slavery of the occupation.
Our impoverished family did not afford us much chance for learning. My main occupation is farming. My fervent wish has been to be able to offer to society because I believe that only collective decisions may help develop society properly.
My extended social experience and deep encyclopaedic knowledge offered me the capability to write this book, as well as my poetry collection.
