Antonis Anastasiadis was born at Leukogeia, Drama, northern Greece in 1958. He studies electronics, at the School of Education (SELETE) and the Department of electronics and ‘Studies on Greek Civilization’ at the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki. He is a tenured educationalist at the Ministry of Education and lives in Drama.
In his pedagogic / didactic approach, he follows modern perspectives and methodologies, including experiential accounts, active participant exercises and the Socratic methods, while dealing with intra-school conflicts by experiential recourse. He constantly partakes in the people’s struggles for social justice, education, democracy and respect of human rights, as well as the protection of the environment.
Full of reflection on socio-political, ecological and philosophical issues, and with all his thought, publications, presentations and authorship bent on the exploration of these themes, he has always bravely and honestly registered his opinion.
The motto that is representative of his stance is ‘Know Thyself’ while his distinguishing elements include a continuous quest for the qualitative improvement of the environment and the socio-political setting of ‘Humanity’ and an ongoing and unceasing quest for the truth.
