Fr Savvas David Vasileiadis
was born in Athens in 1979. He studied Dietetics,
Statistics and finally Theology at the University of
Athens. He went through various professional stages,
starting with the Department of Mental Health Promotion
of the Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens.
He then worked as a Statistician for Child and Teenage
Psychopathology, and then as a Psychometrics Specialist
for the Programmes of Mental Health Promotion, as a
Professor of Dietetics, etc. He occupied himself with
the problem of Death from a holistic, philosophical,
medical and theological approach.
He has written a book entitled Church of St Thomas of
Ampelokipi, a Voyage through the Centuries: A Study in
Post-Byzantine Church Construction of the 19th Century.
He has co-authored the book Human Voice as a dietician,
and he has written many stories, poems and tales. Today,
he lives in London with his wife, Natalia, and serves as
a clergyman in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of
Thyateira and Great Britain. |
